Breakfasts & Breakthroughs roundtable: Why does great HCP engagement strategy keep getting stuck

The Industry Knows the Play. Now It’s Time to Run It.
Pharma has done the homework. The journey maps, the omnichannel frameworks, the VoC programmes, you name it, the thinking around HCP engagement has come a long way. And it shows.
What’s keeping people up at night now isn’t strategy. It’s the gap between a great plan and what happens in the field six months later.
That gap is real, it’s common, and from our standpoint, it’s where the most interesting work is happening right now.
Why execution is the hard part
Delivering a seamless, coordinated HCP experience is THE challenge that requires field reps, digital and medical teams to move together. And that’s a different kind of problem than building a strategy deck.
Data sits in silos. Ownership gets blurry. VoC feedback gets collected, reported, and then quietly shelved. Engagement ends up designed around brand plans rather than the real needs of the HCP sitting across the table from a rep.
None of this is anyone’s fault. It’s just hard. And it deserves a proper conversation.
We put some people in a room
A few weeks ago we hosted our first Next Best Experience roundtable. Seven pharma leaders, three sessions, one room and an open conversation.
It was one of those sessions where you look up and two hours have gone by. The kind where people say things they wouldn’t say outloud, on a panel, in front of a bigger audience. It was a roundtable where the conversation went somewhere useful.
So we’re doing it again.
NBX2026 Breakfasts & Breakthroughs: Zurich, April 14–16
Same format.
Small and exclusive groups, citizenM Zurich, 09:00–11:00.
We’re bringing together senior pharma and life sciences leaders to dig into the execution side of Next Best HCP Experience, the hard work after the strategy is in place.
On the table:
- orchestrating field, digital, and medical into one experience.
- turning VoC into decisions
- removing friction from the HCP journey
- and making next best experience something that happens in practice, not just in planning.
Seven people per session. Open conversation. Good coffee. Some food.
What we’re building toward
Next best experience isn’t a strategy, it’s a capability. And it gets built one open conversation at a time.
That’s what NBX2026 is about for us. Not another event, not another framework but the right people, in the right room, figuring out how to move faster together.

A glimpse from our last roundtable

Big or small, every project starts with a conversation.
It takes only five seconds to connect! We take care of the rest.
